On 1 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius participated in a solemn commemoration of the 15th anniversary of Lithuania's EU membership at S. Daukantas square. In his welcome speech, he recalled the recent celebration of the anniversary of Lithuania's NATO membership and emphasized that the choice of these two paths was a breakthrough in Lithuania's history, thinking, and destiny.

On 13 February, participants of the Government's meeting endorsed the Foreign Ministry's code collection of national legislative measures that includes proposals by Ministries for legislation and other legal acts to be amended in Lithuania in the run-up to the UK’s possible withdrawal from the EU without an agreement.
