A CONCERT BY PETRAS GENIUSAS DEDICATED TO INDEPENDENCE DAY OF LITHUANIA

The Day of the Restoration of the State of Lithuania was marked on Feb 16 at Mayflower hotel in Washington, DC. During the event, the participants had an opportunity to enjoy a concert of Lithuanian pianist Petras Geniusas.
He performed Robert Schumann (Fantaisie C major,op.17), Franz Liszt(Hungarian Rhapsody No.10) and George Gershwin (Rhapsody in Blue). Geniusas is one of the most prominent, versatile and adventurous Lithuanian performers. Having mastered an extensive repertoire of classical, romantic and contemporary works, he frequently appears in recitals and concerts with Lithuanian symphony orchestras, and various chamber ensembles and musicians.
