A.P.P.L.E. PREPARES FOR SUMMER 2011

The American Professional Partnership for Lithuanian Education or APPLE met on Sep 25 at the Lithuanian Embassy in Washington, DC to discuss this year's summer activities in Lithuania and plan future works. As an interational volunteer organization APPLE has been working together with Lithuania and its teachers since 1990.

In welcoming APPLE meeting at the Embassy, Rolandas Kačinskas, the Minister Plenipotentiary, said that APPLE helps to build humant ties between Lithuania and the U.S. and that the Embassy is committed to work with APPLE on ideas for how could be further expanded U.S.-Lithuanian educational exchange.
 
The goals of APPLE are:
- To share American educational philosophy, information, techniques, and skills with Lithuanian colleagues
- To develop long-term relationships between American and Lithuanian individuals and educational institutions
- To encourage the development of experience and self-confidence for Lithuanian teachers
- To bring together diverse groups of educators and teachers in Lithuania.
