Changes regarding visa application procedures for Lithuania
The Lithuania Visa Application Centers were opened in the USA and applications can already be submitted in Washington DC, Houston, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago. As of December 21st, 2019, the Embassy of Lithuania in Washington DC will no longer issue Schengen or national visas.
The advantages of such Centers are convenient locations in those cities, long working hours, payment in local currency, and on-site additional services (travel insurance, photography, etc.). The Centers were opened in cooperation with the outsourcing service provider VFS Global.
Also, a reminder that US citizens traveling to Lithuania for a short-term visit do not require a visa.
