Embassy of Lithuania organized the annual basketball tournament

The 14th Ambassador’s Cup Basketball Tournament, organized by the Embassy of Lithuania together with Lithuanian Athletic Union of North America took place in Fort Washington, Maryland on October 21st. This year’s Tournament was dedicated to the Year of Sport in Lithuania.

Along with 7 Lithuanian Americans’ basketball teams from Texas, California, New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Washington DC, the State Department, the Pentagon and United Diplomats teams competed for the Ambassador’s Cup.

In the finals, “Sieni krienai” won against the Pentagon team and took Ambassador’s Cup trophy back to Texas. Final score 77:74. Lithuanian Athletic Club from Baltimore won the third place.
