FOREIGN MINISTER EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES ON THE DEATH OF VETERAN U.S. DIPLOMAT
On 14 December, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis sent a letter to the United States Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, expressing his condolences on the death of the U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard C. Holbrooke.
“Richard C. Holbrooke was a distinguished statesman. He will always be remembered for his decisive role in bringing peace to Europe, reconciliation to the Balkans and his dedication to bring stability and peace to Afghanistan,” reads A. Ažubalis’s letter.
