Lithuania marks June 14 as a Day of Mourning and Hope. On this day, 80 years ago mass arrests and deportations of Lithuanian citizens to Siberia started. The initiative "Say it! Hear it! Remember it!" aims to preserve and honor the memory of victims of communism by reading the names of the deportees and political prisoners.

If you would like to join the name reading event on June 14th, 4-6 PM at Union Square, National Mall in Washington, D.C., please register at culture.us@urm.lt

The event is organized by the Embassy of Lithuania, "Mission Siberia", and Lithuanian Community in Washington, DC.
