LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR PAVILIONIS WILL MEET LITHUANIAN AMERICANS IN CHICAGO
On Sept. 10, Lithuanian ambassador to the U.S. Zygimantas Pavilionis will travel to Chicago, IL where he will meet with the members of Lithuanian community. Ambassador will attend the 57th meeting of the Federation Santara-Šviesa at the Lithuanian World Center in Lemont and will participate in a discussion on national identity. Later that day Ambassador Pavilionis will go the opening of the photo exhibit “First Lithuanians in Texas” by the History Museum of Minor Lithuania at the Čiurlionis gallery and will meet with the members of the Lithuanian community attending the event. On Sept. 11 Ambassador will visit the Lithuanian Cultural School of Chicago where he will attend the start of school ceremony and will visit with the teachers, students and their parents before coming back to Washington, D.C.
