Lithuanian contestants for Cherry Blossom Festival Princess
Annual Cherry Blossom Festival, symbolizing enduring friendship between the people of the United States and Japan will take place on April 5-11, 2015 in Washington, DC with nominees from all 50 states and some foreign countries joining the Cherry Blossom Princess Program - "Aspiring Leadership and Empowering Young Women" - a weeklong opportunity for young women from across the U.S. and around the world to come together and network.
Requirements for the participants are the following:
-- 20-25 years of age and unmarried, have no kids
-- participant or her parents born in Lithuania
-- fluency English
-- availability for all the festival events (April 5-11)
The participant is responsible for:
-- having her own Lithuanian national costume and other costumes required
-- covering her own expenses to travel to Washington, DC (if any)
-- covering her own living expenses in Washington, DC (if any)
Interested contestants should submit their biography and completed form by December 8th to: liana.vazbiene@urm.lt
Please note that the Lithuanian Embassy can nominate only one participant to the festival organizers. Princesses are selected for their academic achievement, involvement in civic, social and international activities.
