LITHUANIAN DELEGATION MET WITH SENATOR DURBIN AND REP. ROS-LEHTINEN
On May 24 in Washington DC Lithuanian parliamentarians and diplomats met with Senator Richard Durbin, ranking Republican of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee and thanked him for his loyal support to Lithuania. The Lithuanian delegation consisting of Vytautas Landsbergis, Member of the European Parliament, Emanuelis Zingeris, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Lithuanian Parliament, Mantas Adomenas, Member of Lithuanian Parliament and Egidijus Meilunas, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Lithuania invited Senator Durbin to continue cooperation to strengthen bilateral Lithuania and US relations. During their meetings American and Lithuanian politicians discussed events in Belarus and the security threat of the new nuclear plants planned to be built nearby.
