Success to Come? Possible Outcomes of the EU Eastern Partnership Summit
On Wednesday, October 9th, the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) in Washington, DC hosted Ambassador Vaidotas Verba, Special Envoy for the Eastern Partnership of the Republic of Lithuania.
The roundtable discussion focused on the progress of the Eastern Partnership and possible outcomes of the upcoming EU Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius. GMF Vice President of Programs Ivan Vejvoda offered an introduction to the event and Managing Director for Grantmaking Mark Cunningham moderated the conversation that included GMF Senior Transatlantic Fellow Ambassador Temuri Yakobashvili. The event was attended by around 30 people, including a mix of embassy and civilian officials, academics, and a few corporate representatives.
