The Embassy hosts Fundraising Gala in support of K.Donelaitis Lithuanian School

On April 28 a Fundraising Gala in support of Kristijonas Donelaitis Lithuanian School (KDLM) of greater Washington, DC, was held at the premises of the Embassy of Lithuania.

The Gala featured the performance by Lithuanian jazz singer Simona Minns. In 2015 S.Minns was awarded the Berklee Outstanding Jazz Vocalist Award. Currently she lives and works in Boston, MA.

The Gala also featured the silent auction, with a possibility to win such items as a handmade handbag “BloomIn” by Živilė Kriščiūnienė, original painting by Donelaitis’ students “Kids' Lithuania”, a basketball ball signed and certified by NBA Player Domantas Sabonis, etc.

The Kristijonas Donelaitis Lithuanian School was founded in 1961.
