THE U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES PASSED A RESOLUTION CONGRATUALATING THE BALTIC NATIONS ON THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THEIR DECLARATION ON THE RESTORATION OF INDEPENDENCE

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution on December 7 congratulating the Baltic nations of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania on the 20th anniversary of their declarations on the restoration of independence from the Soviet Union. The resolution calls on the President to continue to build the mutually beneficial relations the United States has enjoyed with Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania since the restoration of their full independence. The resolution now goes on to be voted on in the Senate. See full text of the resolution.
