VILNIUS TO HOST FIRST BALTIC LIFE SCIENCES CONFERENCE
The Lithuanian Government, which has set a primary goal of promoting the life sciences industry, announces the 1st Life Sciences Baltics Conference to be held on 12-14 September, 2012 in Vilnius. The conference, to be followed by the international exhibition, brokerage event, site-visits and social programme, will present the potential of the life sciences industries in the Baltic States and will serve as a unique platform for the cooperation between the world’s leading scientific and industrial businesses and institutions.
Located at a strategic geographical junction, Lithuania is on the fast track of becoming the Northern Europe’s Life Sciences Hub. Over 80 percent of the country’s biotech and pharmaceutical production and services are exported to 70 countries.
The conference will be held under the patronage of the Lithuanian Government in the presence of the Prime Minister Mr. Andrius Kubilius and the Minister of Economics Mr. Rimantas Žylius.
